With the innaguration of the 44th President, a renewed spirit of community service may start to take hold in the country. Being a volunteer, a community organizer may become cool again.
My daughter along with her twin sister created this video that presages this spirit of reaching out that could sweep through our country. A two minute video by my daughter for her school district's Reflections Project on donating to good causes. The kids organized a "Make a Card" event at their school for the less fortunate kids in a Children's hospital. The USAservice.org seems to be a neat web site. Currently there are not too many events listed there yet. If we all employ this tool we could have a greater impact.
